The Random Things About Me That You Probably Don't Need To Know But I'm Going To Tell You Anyway.

I am 34 35 - I class that as middle age and I love that idea.

I am a Pisces - not that I follow that type of thing.

My Mum was 16 when she married my Dad. My Dad was 18. I was born 2 years later.

I am the oldest child.

My parents had 2 more kids together.

My parents divorced when I was 6. Mum was pregnant with my brother.

My Dad and Step Mum have been together for 28 years (yep if you do the maths my Dad was a bit naughty)

My Dad and Step Mum didn't have any kids together. I guess they figured that 6 was enough.

I have 1 sister, 1 brother, 1 half brother, 2 step sisters and 1 step brother. I never use the word step or half when I talk about them. Yes I just did but just for the purpose of the exercise ;)

My Mum and Step Dad have been together for 23 years have split up!

My Mum and Step Dad had 1 son together.

I grew up in North Queensland.

I went to 4 different primary schools and 3 different high schools (I went to 1 high school twice)

I left school school in year 11. I didn't even see the year through. This is my biggest regret.

I wanted to be a chef.

My first job was as a check out chick at IGA.

I tried to get an apprenticeship as a chef but none were available.

These days I'm glad I didn't become a chef.

I worked at KFC for 3 years.

I represented my area for 2 years in a row in an Australian wide KFC service challenge.

When I turned 18 I started working at an Italian Club.

At 18 I was diagnosed with Pancreatitis and told I could never drink again.

I do drink now, the Pancreatitis was caused by gall stones that were not diagnosed
properly until I was 22. That was 5 years of hell for me (not the being unable to drink, the freaking pain!)

I worked in a casino for 9 years.

I love my husband unconditionally.

I have a birth mark dead centre on my bottom lip. It looks exactly like a scar as if I had split my lip open.

I wear glasses.

I have slight astigmatism.

I have short hair. It changes colour regulary.

During both of my pregnancies I developed Obstecric Cholestasis. Worse with my second.

Both my babies were induced 4-6 weeks early.

I have Hashimotos.

My thyroid is dying.

I have a goitre.

I hate cutting up raw chicken. I gag when I have to touch it. Probably a good thing I didn't become a chef.

I own a matching Louis Vuitton wallet and bag. They are real.

I have been to Paris. The bag was bought there.

I tear up at the most silliest things.

My first car was Green Ford Escort. It never made it on the road.

My second car was a Red Subaru Leone. It did make it on the road but I never got to drive it as a friend crashed it and wrote it off before I could get my license.

I have read all the Harry Potter books ten times over.

I have all the Twilight and Harry Potter audio books on my iPod and have listened to them 10 times over.

I think that Mrs Browns Boys is THE most hilarious show that I have EVER watched.

I am amazed how birds can fly in a V formation. Who taught them that and why.

I stay in the shower for far too long.

I go mad at my daughter for taking too long in the shower.

When the planes hit the Twin Towers on 9/11 I was in the VIP bar at the Casino were I worked.

When the news came through of Princess Diana's death I was at my sisters wedding reception.

When I was 14 my Aunty died. It tore my heart out.

I don't do mornings very well.

I have never been to South Australia, Tasmania or the ACT.

I didn't get to go overseas until I was 31.

I've been to Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland and if you count the stop over, Singapore too.

The feel of some textures sends shivers down my spine in a bad way. For example, the thought of rubbing my nails over the fabric of a Cabbage Patch Kid gives me goose bumps.

I had two Cabbage Patch Kids when I was young. April May and Adam Derek. They now live on my daughters bed.

I have a yellow teddy bear that I received Christmas 1978. He sleeps on my daughters bed too.

I drink Sauv Blanc in Spring and Summer and Cab Sauv in Autumn and Winter (actually I drink the Sauv Blanc in those months too but don't drink red in Spring and Summer unless it is to go with what I'm eating)

I like German beer.

I like the idea of being a vegetarian but just can't give up meat. I try not to think about where it comes from further than I have to.

I have had a friend I've known since birth. We don't talk any more and it hurts more than I care to admit.

I survived the Gibb River Road.

I've been to Moulin Rouge.

I didn't climb the Eiffel Tower - too many tourists.

The day I went to visit the Louvre it was closed. Who knew it was closed on a Tuesday.

I know the entire series of Sex and the City and Will & Grace off by heart.

In Paris I stayed in the same hotel and on the same floor that season 6, episodes 19 & 20 of SATC were filmed in.

Left. View from the balcony. Right. The inside of our room at the  Hôtel Plaza Athénée Paris

I prefer comedies and action movies over soppy love stories (unless it's a comedy one)

I have a collection of lizard ornaments.

Ich spreche ein bisschen Deutsch (I can speak a little German)

I can't swim very well. I can swim now!!!

I can run though.

I can't grow finger nails very well.

I crack my knuckles.

I'm double jointed in the top knuckle of all 8 fingers.

I love candles.

I enjoy gardening.

I love my iPhone. Mr Hausfrau is pretty sure it's glued to my hand.

My handwriting changes ALL the time.

I listen to all sorts of music from Eminem to Mozart.

I love 80's music.

I love the feeling of hopping into a bed with fresh linen.

My favourite cartoon as a kid was the Flintstones.

I don't smoke.

I did smoke.

I gave up smoking 13 years ago.

I drink tea but love the occasional coffee. Good coffee. I drink coffee all morning now that we have a Nespresso coffee machine. Tea has become an occasional night time thing unless I run out of Nespresso capsules.

I drink too much "Mother"

I like ironing while watching TV.

I'm a Grammar Nazi - there is a difference between "your and you're" and "there, their and they're"! (If by chance you find a mistake in this blog post for the love of God let me know. Because that would just be down right embarrassing - although I did write this late at night and I have been on painkillers of late)

I'm 34 1/2 35 and I still get freaking pimples.

I don't drink enough water.

I am fresh on the blogging scene.

I am probably boring you by now ;)
